I don’t know what will happen in the future. But I think you overestimate the ability of corporations. They have all the power you attribute to them. Now.

But in the future? What happens when bigger swaths of the Earth are burned to ash in wildfires that make todays look like campfires? When whole cities lose millions of people in wet bulb heat?

Nature and chemistry don’t bent to politicians, businessmen, religions or ideologies. And, for the past 40+ years, the Earth has absorbed a lot of abuse.

This will blow up. It IS blowing up. I don’t believe anything but actually slashing the use of fossil fuels will make any impact at all.

It looks to me like, pretty soon, there will be no winners.
