I don’t oppose nuclear but I’m skeptical of it because we have along history of nuclear disasters. And they take a long time to get online.

Still maybe it can help. I’d be thrilled if fusion reactors became viable. There’s some hope with that although we’ve had so many false hopes on that score that it’s hard to be optimistic.

But before nuclear or any alternative energy matters, we must slash fossil fuel use—sharply and quickly.

If we fail at that, we are dead. Meanwhile, we continue to subsidize fossil fuels. According to the IMF, the fossil fuel industry got $5.9 trillion in subsidies in 2020 alone—ONE YEAR!

We are paying huge sums of money to have our planet destroyed and our civilization ended. And no so-called deficit hawks give a crap.
