I don’t oppose nuclear power IF it’s needed as a short term bridge. But I’m not convinced it’s necessary. How long does it take to build a new nuclear plant—vs. other forms of clean energy?

I believe that alternative energy, even with its imperfections, is ready NOW. Why add an intermediary step that involves deadly substances that can spew deadly radiation and that humans with their greedy corporations always claim to be safe while cutting corners?
