I don't think many people hate followers of Jesus. Who really opposes these ideas?

love one another

turn the other cheek

be kind to foreigners and strangers (Good Samaritan)

consider the lilies of the field

feed the hungry

heal the sick

care for the poor

In the current times, people get angry at those CALLING themselves "Christians" but opposing what Jesus preached. We have bigots, and proponents of "prosperity theology" and others who attribute their cruel or selfish ideas and actions to Jesus Himself. This angers people who recognize these perversions of His teachings as hypocrisy and blasphemy.

I know I get angry at these hypocritical "Christians" who are not Christians at all. That said, I have the greatest respect and admiration for most of the teachings of Jesus and for his True Followers.
