I had thought of Andrew Johnson as the worse president. He essentially reversed the outcome of the Civil War and cancelled Reconstruction. But I didn’t know much about Buchanan. He’s pretty damn bad! Also, the Civil War killed 750,000+ Americans. How many died unnecessarily from COVID because of Trump? Possibly a similar number.
