I have no passionate feeling about Biden as president either way. But the 800 pound gorilla on the planet is climate catastrophe. Politically, it’s a difficult problem—even though we have the science and engineering needed to blunt the worst effects of this disaster.

Whatever the polls say (and who gives a f-ck about people who aren’t willing to make an effort to save the planet for their own grandchildren?), I will judge Biden—and others—by their success or failure on this overriding existential issue.
