I know there are a lot of people attacking Christianity. I’m not with them. I almost think of myself as a nonbeliever who is nonetheless inspired by Jesus. I find most of the words attributed to Him really meaningful. And I’m often angry at bigoted “Christians” on behalf of the faithful who—it seems to me—have taken the lessons He really taught.

That said, anger isn’t a good look whether coming from someone else or from me.

I think the key, for me, is to constantly remind myself of our common humanity.
