I see what you are saying and I think everything must be tried. Personally, however, I won’t be prioritizing persuasion as a tactic for change.

I believe it’s more efficient and effective to rally the persuaded and inspire them to action. My focus is the climate crisis and there are, I believe, at least a billion people who are angry, fearful or despairing. Those people WILL force the changes we need, if they are giving a credible strategy to do so.

Once the ball is in motion, many of the doubters will join, if only to be on the winning side.
