I think you are playing word games. Most people have a pretty good sense of right and wrong—with our without a so-called holy man telling them. And yes, morality is subjective. It's also subjective to decide to believe a religious authority and conveniently twisted theology.
However, when I see the loudest and most visible, influential Christians—and their followers—embodying Jesus by loving their neighbors and enemies, being kinds to foreigners and strangers, turning the other cheek, feeding the hungry, healing the sick, renouncing Mammon, and helping the poor—well, THEN I will happily concede that religion and Christianity has had a positive effect on morality.
In the meantime, I'm waiting.
