I would like to be enthusiastic about work because I love helping customers who are, after all, just people like me.

But I was taught early by employers that when you go all out, you are given more and more work until you are overwhelmed. And then you get bad performance reviews.

No good deed goes unpunished. Ultimately, I started my own company. Employers are for the most part, hopelessly incompetent and cruel.

Our system brings out the worst in people. It’s been pretty obvious to me for 5 decades.

I don’t think the young are slackers at all. They are, simply put, sane. It’s the employers that are useless—they produce nothing but misery and have no skills except swindling.
