I wouldn’t give up in advance. I believe this must be tried. It may be that the psychological need of these men to control (and abuse) women is a symptom of intense sexual insecurity and vulnerability.

Maybe they will be vulnerable when their “masculinity”‘isn’t respected.

I think it’s very important yo try this. I can think of anything else that would get as much attention, nor anything that’s as appropriate as a response to sexual oppression.
