I write to influential and wealthy people to try to persuade them to change their ways regarding fossil fuels—to fight to banish those fuels instead of profiting from them. And my appeal isn’t that they could make money (maybe more money) in the growing clean energy sector. It’s that, if they continue to promote climate abuse, their own children will hate them to their (faster approaching) dying days.
That’s an appeal related the wanting admiration rather than appealing to greed. I guess, implicitly, I’ve agreed with you though I wasn’t consciously aware of it.
