I'm 66. I had difficulties—everyone does. But my life was a charmed one compared to what young people experience today. Adults in positions of authority—everywhere—have failed spectacularly and repeatedly at their responsibilities.
Hey, those adults (and especially the idiotic systems they operate under, especially plutocracy), failed to even hand over a habitable Earth to the next generation.
That's a pretty small ask and should be a low bar to clear. After all, authorities had DECADES OF CLEAR WARNINGS from climate scientists. But they made excuses and now here we are.
No, that bar was very, very low. And the "leaders" managed to crawl under it.
