I’m for nonviolent noncooperation. Historically, it’s twice as successful as violent movements. That’s largely because most people don’t want to be part of violent movements.

Also, existing authorities and governments are nearly always better armed them citizens who want to challenge them. Finally, noncooperation is effective because elites and authorities never do the work. They are dependent on the active cooperation and support of the people they exploit.

Once the people refuse, it’s over. As the Shah. Ask Ceaușescu. The most brutal thugs fall the hardest. Brutality is a weakness against a nonviolent movement.

But, most of all I only support non-violence because violence is evil.
