I’m getting old. I’ve never had power or influence, even though ok an old white guy. My take on all this is a bit different.

I think adults, if they love their children, should remove from power all of the people that are destroying the climate. Like ordinary people who took down the Berlin Wall, finished off the Soviet Union. Sent Egypt’s Mubarak packing. And, just a few weeks ago, took down Sri Lanka’s leader.

All of the industrialized countries have failed, as well as climate critical places like Brazil.

These governments—all of them—must be removed. If not, they will kill us all.

Our leaders are living in a fantasy land. They are consumed by greed, power lust or a ridiculous sense of self-importance. WE—adults—must force them to retire immediately.

And our young climate activists in charge. It’s THEIR planet. The adult leader we’re too incompetent to do the bare minimum—turn over a habitable Earth to the next generation.

The young climate leaders can do what should have been done decades ago: listen to the scientists. They can enact a world wide program—devised by climate scientists and engineers—to repair and rescue the climate, insofar as that is possible.

This is not just a talking point. I’m doing things in the real world to make this happen. It sounds crazy, but it’s not. People of any age can help. But it’s the moral responsibility of adults to clear the path for all this.
