I’m in my sixties. I had a spotty career but also had a successful business. I’ve found management pretty much everywhere to be incompetent, clueless and usually cruel as well. This is the ethos of American business, taught in MBA programs and endorsed by media and government. Maximizing shareholder returns, making the very rich much richer, paying people as little as possible, sidelining products and services and focusing on financial manipulation—its all there, since the 1980s, for all to see.
I’m in my sixties and still have no patience for bull crap. I’m starting another company.
