I’m not very impressed with any system. I believe we should look at the problems and opportunities we see in the world, and try to make well-reasoned choices. I don’t believe we should run our judgements through ideological tests—not capitalism, not socialism, not communism.

For example, to keep the Earth from becoming a inhospitable hellhole for our grandchildren (and increasingly unpleasant even now) we need to replace fossil fuels with clean renewable energy. I don’t give a damn if those who do it call themselves capitalists, communists or Mugwumps—although I find the latter label more entertaining than the others. ;-)
