I'm the founder of a movement called The Saners. We believe it is literally insane to destroy the climate of the planet we all live on.

So, nominally, I'm your enemy. But the thing is, I haven't forgotten fossil fuel workers. In fact, taking care of fossil fuel workers is a core concept of The Saners. To end oil (and coal and natural gas) it is in everyone's interest to take care of fossil fuel workers and their families. Because we will need for you—at some point—to stop working. To stop drilling, refining, shipping, selling oil. And the rest of the world will need to stop buying and burning fossil fuels.

Because if we don't do this, we will turn our beautiful planet into a nightmarish hellhole. Indeed, some of this transformation is taking place now.

The fossil fuel companies don't care about you. You are a means to their end. They need you to make money. They don't care about the Earth, or you or your children. YOU are far more responsible and sensible than they are. You understand the crisis, and care, but cannot afford to stop working.

WE get that. WE care. WE want to solve your problem...and the problems of oil workers in the middle east, in Russia, everywhere there is a major facility for fossil fuels.
