It obvious to me that the people in charge—worldwide—have done nothing ever to stop climate collapse. In fact, they've protected the fossil fuel industry which isn't a surprise because they all take money from them. (Or, in the case of, for example, the Saudis, they ARE the fossil fuel industry.)
We need to remove all of those failed leaders and put power in the hands of the people who will inherit this critically wounded planet—young people, and especially young climate activists.
Only THEY have the moral standing to be in charge. It's their planet and the current rulers are guilty of ongoing crimes against humanity.
WE—all of us—must demand that every leaders on the planet step down, that young climate activists be put in charge, and that cllimate scientists be empowered to develop and act on a worldwide plan to stabilize the climate—using whatever resources they need.
This is for SURVIVAL.
People will say this is impossible. But how many impossible things have we witnessed in the last few decades? Hey, ordinary people brought down the (seemingly invincible) Soviet Union. WE CAN DO THIS. And we must.
