It’s become pretty obvious that our institutions and leaders—and many of them are sincere and hard working—are incapable of dealing effectively with the climate crisis. Our best and possibly only chance of success and even survival is a movement of o violent noncooperation. The most visible climate activists are brave and thoughtful—and strategically on the wrong track.

We cannot persuade leaders. Our political and economic economic systems are awash in corporate money, including money from Big Oil. This isn’t only the United States. It’s worldwide.

We need a strategically sharp movement of nonviolent noncooperation. A small group has begun, and any sane and caring human being can join.
