It's constructive and caring and capable people like Inas Al-Ghoul who will save the world. No politicians, no ideologues, no self-important "leaders."
The entire Middle East, indeed the entire planet, is burning because we follow foolish leaders, fools in positions of authority. We know that fossil fuels must be ended. We know that war mongers are not only cruel but mind bogglingly stupid.
Nobody gets out of here alive and our children—everyone's children—are doomed unless we learn to love one another and tackle the crises that our species has itself created.
We need to be like Inas Al-Ghoul.
