It’s hard to know what the tipping point is in any revolt. These are always “explained” after the fact.

Who knows why the Arab Spring took place in 2010-11? And not earlier or later? Or that the Berlin Wall fell when it did? Or why Occupy happened when it did (even though police were used to end the occupations.)

Pessimists think people will NEVER revolt even though, in fact, they do.

Optimists think the revolution is coming tomorrow. Sometimes they are right but I’d bet their predictions are no better than chance.

Instead, we should be planning and attempting the revolts that are needed—and right now, the most important would be a climate revolt.

Children and young adults have already started this one. Adults, especially parents, need to join and come to the aid of their children. NOW.
