The group has as its stated goal to establish “an immediate worldwide emergency program, led by climate scientists, to slash fossil fuels, end climate abuse and repair our planet.”
This is the core focus of the group but we also intend to replace the failed values and systems that got us into this mess with better ones.
Our blueprint for change is inspired by other successful non-violent movements throughout history — from the Indians expelling the British Empire to a small group of college students engineering the ouster of a Serbian dictator.
Movements can work. Many have succeeded spectacularly. We must learn from those who preceded us, and act to protect the Earth from climate collapse. We must build a more humane civilization and a sustainable way of living.
This meeting will be a briefing, a short overview of where we are now, what we are doing next — and how you can help.
