Justice (sic) Thomas’ bribe-taking is a drop in the ocean of corruption. Punishing him is insufficient. Woefully so. Our entire government along with many other governments around the world are junior partners—overflowing with money taken from billionaires.

Of course he didn’t report it. And of course it’s legal to conceal the bribes. PACs exist to hide abuse of wealth. Overseas tax shelters as revealed in the Panama and Paradise papers exist to conceal abuse of power by the wealthy.

Everyone knows that elections are awash in money of the wealthy. We are supposed to pretend it either doesn’t happen or it’s not important.

Thomas DOES need to go. But so does every leader, government, rule, and system that failed for 40+ todo the rock bottom minimum required of them: hand over a habitable Earth to the next generation.

That is a very low bar to clear, and all of those losers managed to crawl under it.

There ARE sane caring intelligent and thoughtful people in the world. Many are parents. Many are climate scientists. And perhaps the vast majority of them are young people.

Businessmen, politicians and ideologues? Not so much.
