Let’s be realistic. We should do as you say and try to put pressure on politicians to do the right thing. But the whole federal government has been defying the will of the people on virtually every issue—from facilitating gun proliferation while the majority be want gun control; taking control of woman’s bodies while the majority believe a woman’s body is her own; wanting to preserve a habitable planet for our children while the Court is about to strike down the EPAs power to regulate C02 emissions.

We should try through official channels but our focus should be to DEFY those channels because we have a cruel rogue government of religious zealots and greedy plutocrats in charge of nearly everything official.

I’ve suggested that women hold a sex strike—as long as women are legal not in control of their own bodies, they are off limits to men.

We should consider withholding taxes, especially state taxes in the misogynist states. Why should women FUND their oppressors?

Marches and protests are fine and belong in the mix. But we should raise the bar sharply with serious noncooperation.

And let’s also remove the veneer of legitimacy from any government or entity that brutalizes and uses women for its own selfish and insane purposes.
