Like most people, I’m not sure what to do. I try to keep my carbon footprint small—I’ve never owned a car, for example.

But the big problem is the fossil fuel industry. I write directly to petroleum executives, asking them to change course for the sake of their children and grandchildren. None of this has yet worked and I’m not big on virtue signaling…but maybe some of what some of us try will work. I hope.
