Look, people are not stupid. They know that that are being used as a means to an end—maximizing the profits of their employers.

They are not treated like human beings. They are not respected. They will be fired or laid off without any hesitation if it will raise the bottom line by a dime. Or if it will make the boss feel better.

Productivity is never a concern...only profit. If productivity WAS a concern, employers wouldn't damage it constantly by abusing employees, by mucking up the way work is done (something they can't understand because they don't do the work), or spend most of their time trying ways to manipulate the stock price.

Very very few employees (yeah, SOME young green ones) still drink the KoolAid that employers serve up. Most of us know the score.

Nothing personal, but the plutocratic authoritarian system we call (rightly or wrongly) "capitalism" is an abomination.
