Look, the people in charge are woefully selfish and incompetent. Keep in mind—these are the people who are actively destroying the climate and making the Earth uninhabitable for our children.

We need to remove them from positions of authority, replace them with young leaders of goodwill from the worldwide climate movement (these are the people with standing who will inherit this abused Earth,) and ditch plutocracy and every system that gets in the way of fixing things.

Anything less is just cosmetics.
