Look, we need to immediately and severely slash CO2 emissions. Yes, it’s complicated, but the public doesn’t need to understand every detail. And, yes systems do fight for fossil fuel and American capitalism is one of the worst offenders. But so do Russia, China and Brazil. CO2 doesn’t care about ideology.

And, no, we shouldn’t say “China has to do something first.” We ALL need to do everything in our power right now.

Also, neither doomsayers nor deniers should be listened to. We need to do the right things, then hope for the best.
