Loyalty needs to be earned.

I appreciate the sincerity of the author of this article. What he may not fully understand is that most employees are treated badly, do not share fairly in the wealth they create, and are constantly in danger of losing their job which can be ended at the whim of a boss. And losing your job, in America, can often mean becoming hungry and homeless.

I believe the American employee has reached the point of a horse who has been whipped too frequently for too long — To refuses to move, and the abusive “motivation” has ceased to have any affect.

Even as people GIVE UP THEIR PRIMARY INCOME, employers accuse those who resign of being lazy.

The disconnect between the employee’s experience, and the employer’s “understanding” is profound.
