Marie—forget the authorities. Forget the people who control the narrative. They are rich and "powerful"—but also stupid and clueless.

Their own children will inherit this ruined Earth. The children of these "leaders" will loath their parents up to their final breath.

Fortunately, unknown "powerless" people everywhere are getting ready to light the spark. This spark will awaken billions—yes, literally BILLIONS—of people who desperately want to protect their children and, insofar as possible, restore our Earth to health.

Together, we will form an unstoppable movement. The existing governments and systems and leaders will not reform—they are incapable of that. They will be overwhelmed. They will become irrelevant.

This movement will largely be carried by young people—under 30, many well under 30—not old guys like me. But I'm one of the people who will light the spark. And once the change comes, actually competent and caring climate scientists will be key policymakers, implementing a worldwide emergency program to slash fossil fuel use and take other necessary measures to fix things. And they will do so in conjunction with young climate leaders.
