The state is furious at attempts to prevent ultra wealthy oil profiteers from detroying the planet everyone’s children will inherit.
I just want to make one (obvious but important) point.
It is ridiculous to expect to prevent climate collapse by working through a system that is essentially owned by ultra-wealthy oil profiteers and similarly ethically-challenged corporations and individuals.
As you may know, a group of children in Montana won a case forcing the state to honor its own Constitution and protect the environment from climate abuse and the coming (or current, actually) climate collapse.
Ultra-wealthy people and the politicians they own are determined to burn the Earth to a crisp so they can make more money and accumulate more power.
They are literally insane and to play by their rules is like trying to convince a guy in an insane asylum wearing a three-cornered hat that he’s NOT Napolean.
We can’t play ball with those nuts. WE need to take control of the situation to protect ourselves, protect our loved ones, protect our planet, and even protect the fools who are willfully destroying our Earth.
