My argument is to double down on taking action. I’ve never owned a car. I quit beef. I rarely fly. I’m planning to move into a place half the size of where I live now.

It’s true that I rarely criticize people for their carbon footprints. Reducing a personal carbon footprint is nice to do—but to save the Earth we must disempower the people who are ruining it and empower the people who would save it—especially young people who will need to survive on this battered Earth.

And my approach is focused on positive action—a human community that cares about all the creatures of our common planet and wants—like every sane person—a better life for their children. And everyone’s children.

Together, we can oust the ecocidal maniacs, end the ongoing crimes against humanity and learn to live with and protect Nature. We can live in amity, not cruel competition. We can value life, not things. We’ve lived under systems that unnaturally boosted the least attractive instincts of human beings. We must outgrow those systems, and defy those leaders—or die and take the beauty of the Earth with us.

I say fight the fight. I say live and love. I say don’t give up. I say START and never stop. Despite the fools who want to give up, WE CAN AND MUST WIN.

There are literally more than a billion people who care. We need to awaken them—and ourselves—because once we do, we will be unstoppable. We need to do this NOW.
