My guess is this article is pretty accurate. I love the scooter idea! Still, the key is to close all fossil fuel plants replacing them all with clean energy plants. That way EV and all other non-fossil fuels devices can be produced and used without using the fatal fossil fuels. This includes the development of more environmentally friendly batteries—and there are several decent candidates under research and development.

Making and using less unnecessary crap is important, too.
