My Presidential Announcement

I’m a single issue voter.

So, rumor has it that Trump will announce his candidacy later this month. To which I say: I don’t give a f-ck.

Here’s the thing — I won’t respect or honor or recognize any government or administration or economic or political system anywhere on Earth that isn’t actively working to sharply slash C02 emissions, and behave the proper way to deal with the existential crisis of climate collapse.

I will respond to any words used to justify continued inaction with “blah, blah, blah” and urge every person on the planet who cares about the Earth, the children who will inherit it, and humanity itself to denounce every such government and institution and demand that everyone resign in favor of people who WILL deal honestly and effectively with this emergency.

We are way too late to work through the system. We will all be dead before we get failed leaders worldwide to act. They have indicated by their decades of inaction that they either won’t or can’t do the job. They need to go. Right now.

This holds for every official, even people I like such as Joe Biden. I don’t agree with Biden on everything but he seems like a genuinely very nice person. However, he isn’t doing what’s necessary — in part because he can’t under our system swarming with GOP neanderthals, but probably also in…
