So, here’s what we are supposed to believe…
The world has a variety of leaders and systems, but most of them are mature and responsible adults working— with some degree of competence — on the issues and challenges of governments and corporations, depending on their roles.
The challenges are huge, so the results are mixed. But this is about as good as it will get in a world of imperfect people and complex problems.
Whatever the difficulties, the world overall has never been better than it is today: people are freer, richer, have more control over their time and their lives, and have more influence within their societies than in any previous time in history.
We should be grateful and dedicate ourselves to better fulfilling our individual roles in society — as productive workers, consumers, patriots and — when called up — as soldiers. Nobody is more respected than a soldier who sacrifices his life for the greater good.
