No one thing will fix the climate. As it happens, whether you call it ridiculous or not, cows and meat production is a significant factor. It is not the biggest one, but it is big. And ending meat consumption is quicker than, say, replacing every fossil fuel plant with a clean energy plant—though that must be done, too.

I say this as someone who isn’t a vegetarian. I actually would like meat production to end and I’d be happy to change my diet as a step to stabilizing the climate. We SHOULD have started ending fossil fuels in 1980 or so but the fossil fuel industry controlled and controls policy so that didn’t happen.

Now we must move extremely quickly, no matter how difficult. We need to end meat, end fossil fuels, end promotion of all the useless crap that’s produced, and get in touch with Nature.

Or die. It’s a choice.
