We are a social species and suffer when we obsess on stupid work, stupid ideology and stupid systems.

Love thy neighbor. You don’t need to be religious to do it. I’m not. And if you are religious, don’t do it because Jesus said so. Do it because it’s the right thing to do.

It’s also the first step to fixing things. Yes, you might be disappointed with some of your neighbors, possibly very angry right now. You don’t need to love all of your neighbors at this moment.

But reach out to some of them. The ones who you think are okay. What about the ones you are angry at? Give them space. Give yourself a break from them.

We Were Never Going To Fix This At The Ballot Box

I donated to the Harris campaign. I canvassed for her, too, door-to-door.

Yes, she lost but that wasn’t wasted time. That was a very good thing. I wasn’t reading my phone. I was meeting people, talking to people, seeing for myself that there is good in people.

The election is over and I realize I want to keep seeing them. Because humans are social creatures. Even (former) introverts like me.
