O'Connor was a nice person. But she made a terrible mistake—one of the worst in human history. She joined with 4 soulless men in a 5-4 decision that vetoed the choice of the American voters (Al Gore) and put a Texas oil man (George W. Bush) in the White House.
This ended any prospect of meaningful climate action in the year 2000. And has significantly accelerated the very possible extinction of our species—in the near future. Gore was (and is) a passionate climate activist. Bush was a fan of the oil industry.
Allowing fools to continue the production, sale and burning of fossil fuels—and destroy the habitability of the Earth before everyone's children and grandchildren have a chance to reach adulthood is LITERALLY INSANE.
