Decades long obsessions yields mixed results. But I feel alive, focused and purposeful.
I am a high-functioning introvert. You may or may not notice it when you meet me. Because I can be quite excitable, and my quiet center is often masked.
Nonetheless, I require substantial alone time to collect my thoughts, reflect, daydream. My relationship with the world is twofold: engage and retreat.
From Imagination To Reality
I have many, many ideas of varying quality. Because I only act on a relatively small number of them, I can come across as a dreamer — a Walter Mitty who doesn’t act on his ideas. And yet, one must not fear wasting time on mistakes and missteps. These are inevitable, a natural and unavoidable consequence of trying things. Sometimes you’ll go down blind alleys. Sometimes you’ll need to correct course. Sometimes, you’ll need to abandon a particular idea completely.
But once I hook onto something…watch out!
