Non-violence is the greatest and most active force in the world. One cannot be passively non-violent…

Change requires disruption. And yet it’s often very difficult to know in advance what actions will disrupt. We are in desperate need of change right now — the climate collapse is nearing and the people in charge are failing to do what’s necessary.

They have failed for decades.

Billions of people — I am NOT exaggerating — understand that fossil fuel use is turning our Earth into a planet that’s hostile to human life. This is the summer that this fact became undeniable by anyone who is sane and aware. We care about our planet and the future of our children.

But those in charge are either prisoners of the systems in which they operate, or simply too foolish and weak to do the right things. The fossil fuel industry continues its climate abuse with continued fervor, all the while pretending to care and making noises that we call greenwashing. Some are still taken in by these lies, which is understandable. Who would choose to brutalize our beautiful planet? Who would endanger everyone on it, for excessive wealth and titles of honor that, in fact, are badges of shame? It seems impossible to believe that anyone could be like that.
