Online Climate Event — Tomorrow, May 28th at 3pm Eastern Standard Time
The 9th virtual climate party…
Starting with A Climate Declaration (a statement of principles), I’ve become a climate activist who is SERIOUS about saving the habitability of the Earth from the abuses of authorities worldwide — both businessmen and politicians and especially the systems that empower them to commit these abuses.
My views have evolved over time and expanded. My earlier position was focused — let’s just slash C02 emissions by defying authorities and ensure that our children inherit a habitable Earth. But, over time, this goal became insufficient; we need to be better human beings, better to each other AND responsible stewards to the planet. Old systems — that encourage greed, selfishness, and hostility to the biosphere — need to be scrapped.
Instead of allowing love, community, caring, equality, and kindness to be empty platitudes, they must be come the dominant way of life.
