Orban is beatable. He was ousted once by a movement of nonviolent noncooperation. When Orban overreaches again (as thugs always do), the movement can re-emerge and oust him again. There is also potential for the people to take power in what was once Romania and in Poland—people in those countries have done “the impossible” before.
Let’s not assume that whoever is ascendant will remain in power forever. If we know anything, it’s that change is inevitable. WE must work to ensure that it’s the desirable change.
