Our democracy is poisoned with oil money and is in effect a plutocracy. And after wasting decades doing the exact opposite of what climate scientists warned was necessary—they told us to sharply reduce fossil fuel production and use, and “leaders” instead subsidized and encouraged expansion of fossil fuels, it’s clear that democracy won’t save us. Like oil sheiks and dictators, leaders in Western governments are committed to abusing the planet for personal greed.

We need another way to get this done.

You might consider The Saners movement.This group believes it is literally insane to cooperate with or support the fools who are destroying the Earth’s habitability and plan to use Gandhian tactics to stop them. The climate is collapsing right now—visibly—and we no longer have time for a slow incremental transition.
