A civilization is only as good as the ideas it’s built on. That’s why the next one will be so much better.
Screw Ray Katz. He’s just a guy. I mean he’s okay. Everyone has the capacity to be good or bad. And he’s done some good things.
Thanks for that!
But really, we should never be foolish enough as to follow a person. We need to be organized around ideas, around good positive yet realistic values. That’s what underlies The Saners Movement.
NOT the founder.
What Ideas?
The Saners began with a simple idea: to knowingly ruin the planet we all live on is literally insane. And yet that’s what our species is doing. WE, as a group of sane, caring people, won’t participate in or support that destruction.
But this idea alone proved to be inadequate. Oh, it was based on solid principles—that of activism focused on a strategy of nonviolent noncooperation. This is the principle that guided the most successful movements in history.
We need to do more than prevent climate collapse. We need to rebuild civilization based on benevolent, sensible, humane and sustainable values. We need a healthy planet and a loving society—everywhere for everyone.
