If the government issued a license to kill and the courts supported it, it would still be evil and wrong.
Today, governments around the world, with their laws and courts, recognize and protect the “right” of fossil fuel companies to destroy the Earth — and that is absurd. This alleged right is the default. The state would need legislation to hold them accountable for the damage they do. Isn’t this astoundingly stupid, cruel, and evil?
This latest outrage is really one of innumerable similar outrages. We have a government consisting of politicians and judges financed and put into place by ultra rich fossil fuel profiteers.
Pretending to be legitimate institutions, these are the forces of greed, stupidity, evil and universal death.
As I cannot repeat often enough, it is literally insane to destroy the planet that you and everyone you love lives on.
And yet leaders and authorities in every country are doing just that. And in so doing, they have erased any claim they may once have had to legitimacy.
The authorities expect us to challenge them through THEIR rules — the courts and politicians and institutions that they setup and control.
