Look, I’ve got a lot of things on my mind, and a — well, let us say an imperfect memory. It’s not that I’ve got misgivings about other people’s sexuality. To be honest, I’m not all that interested in a person’s sexuality. That’s rarely the most interesting thing about a person.

I want to know what you are interested in, what instills enthusiasm in you. It’s what animates a person that interests me. Because enthusiasm feels to me like the essence of life itself. And where there’s enthusiasm, there’s usually a fascinating story. Who doesn’t love a fascinating story?

Anyway, for me having respect for everyone should be the low-hanging fruit. It should be easy to see that, at the deepest level, we share a common humanity. Bigotry atomizes people, dividing them into what I see as trivial categories. I mean, my religion or skin color or ethnic origins…well, if there’s a tasty cuisine involved, I can see a reason to be interested. But otherwise, is THAT really the most interesting and distinctive thing about a person?

Even ideology is kind of boring. I mean, there’s like maybe 4 prominent ideologies, each predictable and all them are sounding rather tired to me. How about instead of “knowing” everything (dull and self-deceptive), we have some fun and…
