This is fiction for now. But it’s one of many ways that people power can—and The Saners are determined we will—take control of the world and save it with unrelenting kindness and good sense.

The President stared at his Sausage McMuffin but wouldn’t eat. He was hungry and frustrated. MacDonald’s—or was it the delivery service?—refused to bring his breakfast sandwich. Eventually he sent a Secret Service man but remained nervous, suspicious. Was the food poisoned? Rancid?

Did someone tamper with it? The food taster resigned a week ago and the position remained unfilled. A tubby orange stomach growled.

The Big Oil CEO couldn’t get his dry cleaning done. For some reason, his shirts were never ready. It was odd and frustrating. He felt sloppy. He thought people were smirking at him. This was one of several services that no longer seemed to be working. At least not for him.

The swanky restaurant where he had dinner once a week with his wife (or was it his mistress?) didn’t have his table. It was taken. They would put him on the “wait list.” He didn’t want to wait. He’s the head of a gigantic international corporation, and he wanted his dinner and he demanded it his way.

But he couldn’t get it. He didn’t know why. He was getting nervous.
