And abolish the shareholder-owned corporation.
Ecocide is built into the system. We produce endless quantities of crap, strip mine the planet, and poison the biosphere to maximize profits — unearned income — for a handful of people who do no work.
Thousands of species are going extinct, with our own species on course to join the vanquished. Along the way, there is exploitation, suffering, lies and humiliation. Our system is anti-life. Passionately so.
The system must go. What system? Many systems. Totalitarians who owe their power and wealth to brutality and oil. “Representative” elective governments with political systems awash in corporate money and who’s policies reflect corporate demands. You know: the corporate system which requires maximizing shareholder returns at the cost of destroying everything good and decent and kind.
Apologists can make all the excuses they want. It doesn’t matter. We can all see what is happening. We know.
Lead the Change By Changing Values
The corporate system demands that we all be more productive. This is the ultimate measure of merit. Books and courses and lectures teach us how to be more productive, and tell us this is the way to get ahead. We are told that if we produce more, we get more.
