If we intend the save the planet from climate collapse, we must learn how to effectively resist.
So, like pretty much everyone my age, I’m now pre-diabetic. I’m changing my diet (which actually wasn’t that bad before) and adding some exercise to my routine. I walk a lot, but do almost no other exercise.
My nutritionist told me that, of all the steps I take (pun unintended), exercise might be the most important. She mentioned “resistence training.”
Now, any kind of exercise that gets the muscles going would do — yoga, weights, whatever. But the first phrase she suggested was resistance training. And I’m thinking, we are all now — in the current age — pre-apocalyptic. If we want to be responsible adults, we need resistance training.
That’s the way my mind works nowadays.

Our plan for human civilization requires the rejection of failed authorities everywhere, and for ordinary citizens to take control of the crisis. This is the only sane way. Our group is The Saners.
As world leaders prepare to hold yet another toothless stage show at the UN, it’s obvious to any reasonable observer that they have failed catastrophically to stabilize the climate and that they will never do so.
